2022 is the Year to Complete your TEFL Certificate

Can English Teachers Travel Abroad In 2022?

With the new year underway, it is time to start implementing some of those New Years Resolutions of yours and making the changes you’ve been thinking about but never found the right moment to do. After everything the 2020’s have thrown at us so far, I will venture that this just might be the right time for you to take the next step towards pursuing your TEFL Certificate with Via Lingua International’s world renowned month long training program.

First reason: it is simply about time! Since the pandemic struck at the start of 2020, we’ve all been trying to blindly make our way through the tunnel. Finally, there now seems to be a light at the end. With how the world has implemented the vaccination campaign, along with the natural progression of the pandemic, we know better now how to move, how to travel, and how to continue our activities in the safest way possible for everyone. There hasn’t been a moment so far where traveling and living with the virus have been so functional and feasible as they are now. Plus, we’ve been in waiting for just about everything! Things have been left on hold since 2020, and maybe the wait is finally up. Of course the pandemic isn’t over yet, and we don’t quite know what the next stages will look like. However, everything has been indefinitely paused until now, and this moment feels a bit like springtime with how people are reemerging again, programs are restarting, and students are returning abroad. This could also be a period of rebirth for you and whatever dreams and ideas you’ve kept on hold until now.

During this time, you’ve probably spent more time with yourself than any other person. You may know yourself better now than you did at the beginning of the pandemic years. Maybe you’ve discovered some things that you didn’t know before, things that you are excited about, or things that you don’t want to return to. This is a pivotal moment as we get back on our feet and move forward from the pandemic. It could be the moment that aligns perfectly with your time to take a risk and make a change in your life or to try something that you’ve been waiting to do.

In an era where all of the headlines focused on health and safety, we’ve all been blatantly reminded of the fragility of life and the unpredictability of the world. Through this, we can appreciate the importance of prioritizing ourselves, our well-being, and taking part in experiences that are important to us when we have the chance to. Everyone has been asking for the return to normal and to close the chapter on this experience, but maybe it is better to consider the new normal that we will embrace. That new normal could include you making a change in your career path, pursuing your TEFL certification, starting on a new journey, and immersing yourself in a new culture. This could finally be the time for you to pursue those experiences that are valuable to you and to find your rebirth by seeing new places and learning something new about yourself, about others, or about the world. We hope to help you set your sights on your new normal this year here at Via Lingua!
