Social distancing is a term applied to certain nonpharmaceutical infection control actions that are taken by public health officials to stop or slow down the spread of a highly contagious disease. The objective of social distancing is to reduce the probability of contact between persons carrying an infection, and others who are not infected, so as to minimize disease transmission, morbidity and ultimately, mortality. Our single most important priority at Via Lingua is supporting the health and welfare of our community as we teach and learn together. The virus may disrupt travel plans to some of our locations, but we assure you our competent and caring staff are working hard to offer the highest level of training possible. Via Lingua is aligning its directives with international health offices and organizations, so stay on the lookout for travel advisories and health notices. Of course, we will provide regular updates over the coming weeks. Wherever you are, please do your best and work with everyone to mitigate the effects of the virus.
